Apart from her stint as a judge on season 3 of the US version of reality singing tilt “The X Factor,” TV viewers last saw her in “Glee” season 5 as the sometime love interest of Naya Rivera’s character, Santana Lopez. In between touring and composing new songs for her next album, Lovato has kept herself busy with other pursuits. The most notable of these include “Skyscraper” and “Give Your Heart a Break” from the 2011 album “Unbroken,” and “Heart Attack” and “Really Don’t Care” from her eponymous fourth record. Her catchy singles have achieved praise from critics and nabbed spots on the Billboard charts. Rising to fame through Disney Channel’s “Camp Rock” movies, which she starred in opposite the Jonas Brothers, Lovato has established herself as a vocal powerhouse with her impressive range. “Performing (in Manila) is one of my favorite memories-having the opportunity to connect with fans all over the world is always a special experience.” “I had an amazing time! The crowd had such a great energy and I’m really excited to head back,” the “Heart Attack” singer told Inquirer Super in a recent email interview.
This marks Lovato’s second time to perform for her Filipino fans the first was in 2013.
The concert is on April 30 at SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. Lovatics have good reason to celebrate the coming Labor Day weekend as pop singer Demi Lovato brings her “Demi” world tour to Manila next week.
